How To Make A ‘Strawbraspberry’

In 2017, Justine Timberlake apparently made headlines with a new fruit “breakthrough, a blueberry shoved inside a raspberry he called the “Braspberry.”

It’s 2019, and we’re all still perplexed by this.

#Braspberry…

“Is it a coincidence that the blueberry fits in the raspberry perfectly? I think not,” Timberlake said in an Instagram post showing off the fruit creation.

While I’d love to congratulate Timberlake on the creation, I humbly make another suggestion to rival his 2017 masterpiece: meet the strawbraspberry.

I made the strawbraspberry at brunch a few months back when a fruit plate presented the opportunity. While I definitely didn’t go quite as viral with my creation, I argue that it’s even more delicious. The strawberry is the perfect vessel for the raspberry, and the raspberry is the perfect vessel for the blueberry.

You have to cut the sides of the strawberry a bit to make it happen, but the pairing is a solid fruit win. With the cut strawberry you’re also removing the stem, so you can eat this trifecta of fruit goodness in a single bite.

Do it. Or try Timberlake’s sub-par version. You won’t be disappointed.

As for when to enjoy such creations, the possibilities are pretty endless. A strawbraspberry can make for a delicious appetiser at a party, or a unique way to garnish a fruity cocktail. Strawbraspberry dipped in a chocolate fountain? It doesn’t get any better than that.
