Binge Alert: Netflix Is Adding Some Killer Movies Tonight

On August 1, a bunch of third-party movies will be dropping onto Netflix to kick start the month. There are 13 titles to binge watch, including some critically acclaimed gems and cult classics. Here’s the full list!

Netflix’s content dumps always have a few clangers and tonight’s list is no exception. (We doubt anyone is clamouring to re-watch A Little Bit of Heaven, for example.) With that said, there are definitely some excellent additions that are well worth your time.

If it’s been a while since you last watched the Matrix trilogy, make that your first port of call. We’re willing to bet that the sequels are better than you remember – the highway-set action sequence in Matrix: Reloaded is arguably the highlight of the whole series.

Horror/dark comedy fans should also check out The Cabin in the Woods and Zombieland – they make a great double-bill. Then there’s the original (and best) Austin Powers movie, Steve Carell’s servicable Get Smart remake and Elizabethtown; an underrated and little-seen romantic drama from Almost Famous writer-director Cameron Crowe.

That little lot should keep you going until the weekend when a stack of original content hits. Here are the synopses and trailers. Happy viewing!
