Rumours of a bigger Samsung Galaxy Note 10 - tentatively dubbed the Note X Pro - have been bubbling away for a while now. We now have our first photos of the display... and it's truly colossal. It's basically the whale shark of phones.
The smartphone super sleuths at Ice Universe have leaked a pair of display protectors and backplates that purportedly belong to the Note 10 and Note 10 Pro. The images were originally shared on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo before making their way onto Twitter.
The accompanying tweet claims "there will be no better screen" in 2019 than the Galaxy Note 10. Here are the photos:

As you can see, the Galaxy Note 10 Pro (which may actually go by the moniker Note 10+) is a decidedly bigger beast than its sibling. According to the latest rumours, its screen will measure 6.75 inches corner-to-corner and will also be bezel-free. That puts it ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G as the largest flagship smartphone on the market.
The leaked images also reveal a triple-lens camera array. If previous reports check out, these will comprise a 12MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto lens and 16MP ultra-wide angle snapper. You can also expect the Galaxy S10 5G's 3D depth camera to make another appearance.
Interestingly, one of the depicted backplates has some extra holes around the camera area. It has been posited that this could be for a time-of-flight sensor that will be chiefly used for augmented-reality apps and artistic portrait photography.
It's a safe bet we'll be getting a Note 10 Pro model with 5G support although this may be reserved for a deluxe version. The processor is also tipped to get an upgrade in the form of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855.
Unfortunately, the leaked photos don't shed any light on the status of the memory card slot and headphone jack - two features that are expected to be absent from the Galaxy Note 10 range.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro/10+ are expected to launch in early August. We'll be bringing you all the official details as soon as they drop.
It seems extremely likely that Samsung will release a premium Note smartphone in 2019 to complement the Galaxy S10 5G. We now know a bit more about the device, including its name. Prepare yourself for the Samsung Galaxy Note X Pro.
