Phones break or get lost all the time, but that doesn’t mean you have to lose your personal data when and if that happens.
Most of us only learn the importance of backups the hard way – after a data loss. This can be especially distressing when it comes to your smartphone – in addition to reams of personal info, it probably has priceless photos and videos on there too. (Remember: your Facebook uploads are a terrible substitute.)
Fortunately, safeguarding against these catastrophic losses is a relatively simple procedure, no matter what phone OS you happen to be using. In the video below, I go over the basics of backing up your Apple and Android devices.
