Over the past year or so, Telstra has made a genuine effort to be more competitive on pricing. While it still charges a premium for mobile plans, the amount of data you get has improved significantly. Its latest offering is one of the best yet. For a limited time, you can score 90GB for $69 – a saving of $20 a month!

Telstra $89 Mobile BYO plan comes with 90GB of data, 2GB of roaming data, and unlimited international talk and text to 15 countries. (Bangladesh, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Lebanon, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, UK, USA and Vietnam.)

The plan also comes with Telstra’s ‘Peace of Mind’ data which grants you unlimited data beyond the 90GB cap, albeit at reduced speeds of 1.5Mbps.

Here are the inclusions. (Click on the interactive table below to learn more.)

When you factor in the $20 discount, this is a pretty solid deal – especially from Telstra. This works out to a saving of $240 over the course of the 12-month contract, which is around 25% off the total.

Here’s how to deal compares to similar plans from rival telcos:

As you can see, there are cheaper and arguably better options out there – the $45 Optus plan is especially good – but if you prefer to stick with Telstra and require lots of data, this is the best option currently going. The deal is available for both new and existing customers.
