In a serious shakeup of the SIM-only space, Optus has slashed the price of its 80GB plan to just $40 a month. The deal also comes with unlimited talk and text, Optus Sport and 4GB of roaming data in select countries. Here are the details!
Optus has knocked 20% off its 80GB SIM-only plan, which works out to a saving of $120 over the course of a 12-month contract. As mentioned above, the deal gets you 80GB of data to use each month, plus unlimited talk and text, free access to Optus Sport and 4GB of roaming data for 'zone 1' countries. In terms of data and pricing, this is arguably the best SIM-only plan you can get right now. Yes, there are cheaper options out there, but they come with less data and/or aren't from a major telco.

As you can see, the only other "big three" telco to make the cut was Vodafone, but that plan comes with 50% less data (including 25GB of bonus data - you usually get just 15GB). The Optus offer will be available until May 5.
