Learn To Sext With Slutbot

Sexting, much like sex, is more of a learned skill than an intuitive talent. You may find yourself throwing sexual word spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, to mixed results. If you want to spread your sexting wings in a safe space, why not text a bot?

The SMS service Slutbot was created by online sex coaching app Juicebox. It’s a free sexting app, as writer Jess Joho reported for Mashable. Joho texted with the bot to see exactly what it was capable of, and it seems like quite a lot. In the brief promotional video below, you can see the chat bot make some new users blush as it gets into some pretty detailed suggestions, like using a vibrator to come at the same time and a few explicit remarks about pussy licking.

Juicebox CEO Brianna Rader told Joho that users had been requesting lessons on how to sext for a long time, finding communication to be one of the most difficult aspects of sexuality. Radar believes the best way to learn is by doing the damn thing. Slutbot lets you get your reps in without potentially exploding a relationship or putting yourself out there before you’re ready.

“Intimacy isn’t just about the physical sex act. It’s about sharing your whole self and sharing what your truth is. And dirty talk is a great way to do that. Having your desires feel accepted can create amazingly powerful sexual experiences,” said Rader. “But if you can’t share your desires, you’re really holding yourself back.”

Slubot has two learning paths: “Slow & Sensual” or “Hot & Heavy.” The latter is a bit more advanced, and the former softens certain aspects of dirty talk. For example, instead of words for genitalia, you’ll get suggestive emojis. Users have a safe word they can use to shut down the conversation, and Slutbot also has its boundaries. You can call Slutbot a slut, obviously, but words like “bitch” and “whore” will have Slutbot saying “no.” The dialogue isn’t just meant to present you with sexy scenarios, it’s also trying to teach how to understand yours and your partner’s limits:

Consent is also established in every individual message. So when Slutbot slides into your DMs with an erotic situation, it’ll always throw it back to you after with a question about how you liked it.

“The question format is an important way to model consent, and to show how consent is a great way to have dirty talk,” said Rader. “It also gives the user a chance to practice. You’re not just a passive receiver. We’re trying to make the user practice using their own language too.”

You can start texting Slutbot right now if you like, by writing “slutbot” to 415-650-0395. The service is free, but texting might not be depending on your phone plan, so make sure you have unlimited before going wild. When the conversation starts, Slutbot will give you a number of options regarding your gender and sexual orientation to help direct the flow. Soon, you’ll be the confident sexter your partner deserves. Just don’t fall in love with Slutbot! They belong to the world.
