Apple’s new AirPods are decent wireless headphones but they will set you back a pretty penny. If you’re poking for an alternative that delivers completely wireless sound without costing an arm and leg, there are lots of options. Here are five we’ve spotted.

TWS Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds: $38.99

With Bluetooth 5, wireless charging and completely cable-free operation, these headphones tick most of the boxes while costing a mere fraction of Apple’s alternative.

TWS Wireless Sports Headphones: $26.99

At under $30, these Bluetooth 4 headphones are great or the gym and will keep tuned in to your favourite podcasts and tunes.

Laser Wireless Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones: $29.00

If over the ear headphones are more your thing, these laser headphones, with noise cancellation are a solid option.

BOSE Soundsport Free Wireless Headphones: $245.00

Bose is well known for producing great headphones with great sounds. At almost $100 less than Apple’s option, you’ll get great sound and keep some cash in your wallet. Premium sound at a great price.

    • Also, you can get them from eBay for $45.99 with FREE postage.
Yet again eBay is cheaper than Amazon. I have found that Amazon’s prices are consistently higher than pretty much any online outlet in Australia.

  • More bad advice.

You get what you pay for, so don’t expect to be listening to any decent music with the cheap alternatives.
If all you listen to is podcasts, they are probably ok.

  • This list is made by someone who googled for cheap wireless earbuds. Can personally recommend QCY T1S (around $30-odd on Ali-Express) and Jabees Firefly. Jabees more features and around $100-130 once shipped and the exchange rate. QCYs are a budget alternative that are at least decent sounding and comfortable – I keep 2 pairs of these at home and at work as backup wireless earbuds and they work a treat. I have tried a couple of the cheaper ones on this list and they are god-awful.
