For a limited time, Optus is adding an extra 25GB to its $30 prepaid mobile plans. This brings the total to 35GB of data per month – more than triple the usual data allowance. The plan also comes with a bonus 10GB of ‘Streaming Data’ so you’re actually getting 45GB for 35 bucks. Nice!

For the asking price, this is a pretty decent prepaid deal, especially from a major telco. As mentioned, the deal comes with a bonus 10GB of ‘Streaming Data’ for use with Netflix, Stan, ABC Kids, ABC ME and ABC iview. (Using these services taps into the the streaming data first.)

The plan also comes with unlimited talk/text and data rollover of up to 50GB when you recharge before the expiry date. Here are all the inclusions. (Click on the ‘Go To Site’ button for more information, including terms and conditions.)

There are a few caveats you need to be mindful of, however. The 35GB data is only available on your first three $30 recharges. After that, the data drops to down to 10GB (not including the 10GB of ‘Streaming Data’.) This is a bit rubbish, but because it’s prepaid you can jump ship as soon as the promotion ends.

To get the offer, you need to sign up before June 3. The second two recharges have to be made by August 5. Click here to get the deal!

If you need more data, you might also want to consider Optus’ 80GB MyPomo Plus plan – for a limited time, it’s down to just $49.50 per month. But you’ll need to get in quick – the offer is set to end on March 31.
