Book Your Uber Or Lyft With Google Assistant

Book Your Uber Or Lyft With Google Assistant

We’ve all had those rushed moments when we’re late for dinner (or the airport) and there are still a half-dozen things to accomplish on our way out the door — including booking an Uber or Lyft.

You can save a few clicks on your phone by asking Google Assistant to call a ride for you. Request a car on any Google Assistant-enabled device, including your Google Home.

To get started, you can specify the service you prefer using a command like “Hey Google, book an Uber to [destination]” or “Hey Google, get me a Lyft.” The app for the service you choose will open on your phone — you’ll view available rides and book from there.

If you don’t have a preference for your ride-sharing service, you can also ask Google Assistant for options. If you say, “Hey Google, book me a ride to [destination],” you’ll get a list of options and current pricing from different companies operating in your area so you can pick the cheapest or fastest one.

From there, you’ll be routed to the app for the service you choose.

This feature is helpful if you need to call a ride in a hurry or if you want to compare prices without opening up a bunch of different apps.
