Commitment ain’t for everyone. After all, who wants to be locked into a 12- or 24-month phone plan when a better deal could be just around the corner?
There’s good news though. No-contract phone plans are now more popular than ever, and increasingly generous in terms of value. So, if you’d prefer a phone plan you can leave at the drop of a hat, here’s a selection of our favourite no-contract deals.
No-contract phone plans with at least 10GB
Telcos often save their best deals for customers willing to commit to a longer term, but there are still plenty of great contract-free plans around.
If you’re looking at around 10GB, Moose Mobile is the cheapest option charging $25 per month with no setup fees. However, $5 more per month will get you a 15GB plan from SpinTel. While there’s normally a $10 activation fee, SpinTel is currently waiving this.
Belong is worth considering if you’re after international inclusions. The $40 per month plan gets you 15GB on the Telstra network, and unlimited talk and text to selected 36 countries.
No-contract phone plans with less than 10GB
If you don’t need quite as much data, there’s some genuine bargains in the sub-10GB space.
SpinTel has a super cheap $9.95 plan with 2GB of data. While you only get 100 minutes of talk, it’s hard to find a better deal for less than $10. And who makes phone calls anymore?
If 2GB isn’t quite enough, Jeenee Mobile has an 8GB plan for $22 per month. You will need to pay a $12.37 setup fee to get this plan, however.
