Pray With Pope Francis Using This Vatican-Approved App

If you’ve always wanted to pray with the Pope, now there’s an app for that.

Pope Francis unveiled “Click to Pray” app this weekend. Exactly what it sounds like, the praying app allows people (if they’re the praying sort) from around the world to come together to pray about a certain issue.

The Pope launched the app, which is the official app of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (Apostleship of Prayer), to coincide with the World Youth Day festival that gets underway on January 22.

From the site:

Click To Pray is the prayer platform of the Pope, of his Worldwide Prayer Network. The app invites you to pray together for his intentions which address current challenges facing humanity and the mission of the Church. And because “every day is different,” the app offers you a prayer 365 days a year to help you discover each day how God calls you to live. Join us as we pray together with the Pope, united with the Heart of Christ, thousands of us throughout the world now form a truly global prayer network.

The app is broken down into three sections: Pray with the Pope, Pray every day, and Pray with the network.

The Pope plans to push out “requests for prayers for the Church’s mission” in that “Pray with the Pope” section. The “Pray Every Day” section offers daily prayer suggestions, and the “Pray with the Network” section offers a place for people to post their own prayer requests.

The app is available in Spanish, English, Italian, French, Portuguese, and German. When you’re scrolling through those network requests you’ll quickly come across posts in a new of those languages.

If you’d rather not put the app on your phone, there’s also a website where you can do everything you can through the mobile app without downloading anything.
