Make A Toddler Kiddie Pool At The Beach With A Cheap Shower Curtain

Make A Toddler Kiddie Pool At The Beach With A Cheap Shower Curtain

The beach seems like a fun place to take a toddler — in theory. But then you get there, and the ocean is full of giant waves and rips. Your kid yearns to frolic in the water, but you can’t let her. And so she sits there, staring longingly from the shore like Baby Moana, munching on gobs of sand.

Some parents have recommended bringing an inflatable baby pool — you can lounge as your tot plays safely next to you — but those things are a hassle to blow up. A simpler hack is to make a pool with a cheap shower curtain. Just dig a small ditch, place the curtain on top of it, and fill it with water and toys.

Mum Megan Wilson shared a video on Facebook of her son splashing around in his DIY oasis. Folks, this is the beach done right.

Check out our other beach hacks for parents who hate the struggle. As for the sunscreen, slap it on your kids when they’re strapped in their car seats — they have no place to escape.
