Report: The Samsung Galaxy S10’s Camera Looks Fearsomely Good

It’s definitely rumour o’clock at Samsung head office. Hours after the lens hole had been leaked, a case maker has revealed that the Galaxy S10 will receive a multi camera array with up to four different lenses on the back. And a “legacy” port most companies are ditching is sticking around. Here’s what we know.

According to leaked photos from a case maker, the Samsung Galaxy S10 will boast a three or four camera array on the back. Interestingly, it looks as though the Galaxy S10 will have its cameras arranged horizontally rather than the vertical arrangement that other handsets boast.

In addition, adjacent to the charging port cutout on the bottom of the case, there’s a round hole that looks perfect for a 3.5mm headphone jack. (So it seems there’s still hope for another flagship Galaxy phone with traditional audio connectivity – despite its absence on the A8s.)

While Bluetooth headphones have improved markedly over the years, there’s still something to be said for being able to rush into an airport store to grab a cheap set of headphones if you forget your main ones at home. Or, if you lose a dongle.

Incidentally, it’s worth noting that this case looks a lot like one for the Galaxy Note 9 so it is still possible we’re looking at prototypes and not the real McCoy.

But with so many leaks flying around, from seemingly reasonable sources, it’s a fair bet there won’t be too many surprises when the Galaxy S10 is officially launched next February in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress.
