Today is the last day of the week. It’s also the last day of the month. And the end of the year isn’t too far off either.
There’s no need to conquer your entire to-do list. Rather, focus on one attainable goal — finishing up the company newsletter, prepping for a presentation, scheduling year-end doctor appointments — and get that done.

If you just can’t motivate yourself to get started on something today, slice it up into the smallest possible units of progress and attack them one at a time. Stop obsessing over what you’re going to write in the email you just can’t bring yourself to write, and instead just click the button to open up a new email. Type in the recipient’s address. Click the subject line window. Write a subject line. And so on.
Forgive yourself (and your coworkers) if you’re a bit sluggish, and put one foot in front of the other. And so on. After your task is complete, draw up your list for next week. There’s plenty of time to get everything done then.
