These Are The Best Airports To Get Stuck In This Holiday Season

When it comes to airports in the United States, there are definite winners and losers. Some offer amazing places to eat and flights that are almost always on time, while others have tons of delays and one Hudson News where you can grab an overpriced bag of Chex Mix to ride out that 8-hour layover.

Orbitz recently created a list of the best and worst airports in the United States to get stuck in this holiday season. While you certainly don’t want to get stuck anywhere, if you have to book a flight with a layover, why not consider one of these airports?

I was personally excited to see Las Vegas ranked as #3. I started intentionally routing my flights through there a few years ago, just because the idea of getting stuck in Vegas, with tons of cheap hotel options and amazing food (and gambling in the airport), sounded like a win:

All that said, your mileage may vary. I know personally almost every flight I take out of JFK is delayed, as well as San Francisco (where I live) depending on the time of day, thanks to our fog.

Still, if you’re booking that holiday trip and are trying to decide from two different layovers, picking one of these is probably a good bet.

And if you do get stuck, Orbitz also laid out what to do at each airport.
