From TV drama to documentaries, original films to stand-up comedy, Australia’s streaming services are getting new content added all the time. Read on to see all the content that will be added to Stan, Netflix, Foxtel and Amazon Prime Video’s libraries in November.
Stan
We’re getting into November, which means we’re getting close to December, which means Christmas movies are here! If you don’t want to start your seasonal binge, however, check out the new prison break show Escape At Dannemora – like all good tales, it’s based on a true story. Stan fave No Activity also returns this month with all of season 2 dropping at once.
Escape At Dannemore
Based on the stranger-than-fiction prison break in upstate New York in the summer of 2015 which spawned a state-wide manhunt for two convicted murderers, aided in their escape by a married female prison employee who reportedly carried on months-long affairs with both men. The limited series stars Academy Award winners Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) and Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), and Golden Globe nominee Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood), and is executive produced and directed by Emmy winner Ben Stiller.

Simmons all return while Jessica Alba, Max Greenfield, Chris Gethard and Joe Manganiello headline the celebrity packed guest list.

Season 3 will stream on Stan same day as U.S. in 2019.

Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video is now available in Australia, and this month we’re getting a couple of new Amazon Originals. Here are the new shows available in Australia in November:
Homecoming (November 2)
Homecoming is a mind-bending psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts and directed by Sam Esmail (creator of Mr. Robot). Heidi Bergman (Julia Roberts) is a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a Geist Group facility helping soldiers transition back to civilian life. Walter Cruz (Stephan James) is one of these soldiers, eager to begin the next phase of his life. Overseeing Heidi and the facility is Colin Belfast (Bobby Cannavale), an ambitious company man whose manic demands point to questionable motives. Four years later, Heidi has started a new life, living with her mother (Sissy Spacek) and working as a small-town waitress, when a Department of Defense auditor (Shea Wigham) comes to her with questions about why she left the Homecoming facility. Heidi begins to realise that there’s a whole other story behind the story she’s been telling herself.
ATP Next Gen Finals (6-10 November)
Be sure to tune in for the Association of Tennis Professionals Next Generation Finals match, live streaming from Milan, Italy.
Patriot Season 2 (November 9)
John must make a choice at the train platform – be free from his obligations and adversaries by letting Agathe take the money or pursue her, at great risk to himself, in an effort to protect his brother, father, and country. Meanwhile, his father presents a perilous way out of it all: find and assassinate Cantar Walley in Paris.
Mirzapur (November 16)
The iron-fisted Akhandanand Tripathi is a millionaire carpet exporter and the mafia don of Mirzapur. His son, Munna, is an unworthy, power hungry heir who will stop at nothing to inherit his father’s legacy. An incident at a wedding procession forces him to cross paths with Ramakant Pandit, an upstanding lawyer, and his sons, Guddu and Bablu. It snowballs into a game of ambition, power and greed that threatens the fabric of this lawless city.
The Gymkhana Files (November 16)
The Gymkhana Files takes viewers deep behind the scenes of one of the world’s wildest, most successful video franchises of all time, with over half a billion views and counting. The series follows Block and his team of Hoonigans as they attempt to create the greatest automotive video of all time, GymkhanaTEN, while simultaneously dealing with the dramatic ups and downs of racing in the World Rallycross Championship.
Inside Jokes (November 30)
The six-episode series follows up-and-coming comedians in New York and Los Angeles as they pursue their dream of being selected for the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs Festival New Faces showcase.
