The “budget” iPhone XR is finally available to buy in Australia! In addition to buying outright from Apple, the device is available on a range of telco plans from Australia’s leading telcos. Here are all the iPhone XR plans from Telstra, Vodafone and Optus.
Telstra iPhone XR Plans
Telstra’s pick for the iPhone XR is a 24-month $99 lease plan which comes with 50GB of data per month. It also has unlimited national and international talk and text, a 24 month subscription to Foxtel Now (1 x starter pack) and Telstra’s usual sports, music and Wi-Fi data inclusions. In addition, the plan includes Peace of Mind Data which caps data speeds at 1.5Mbps for the duration of your billing cycle if you happen to go over. This means you won’t ever get charged excess data fees on this plan.

Vodafone iPhone XR Plans
The cheapest plan you can get from Vodafone involves a 36-month contract for just under $70 a month. However, this option only comes with a piddling 4GB data so we advice digging deeper into your pockets. All Vodafone Red and Red Plus plans come with $5 roaming. Like Telstra, Vodafone is offering “endless” data by capping speeds at 1.5mbps when you go over you’re monthly allowance. Here are the rest of the plans for each iPhone XR capacity:

Optus iPhone XR Plans
Optus is offering the iPhone XR on a range of plans starting from $60 per month ($45 My Plan Flex 24-month plan, plus $15 monthly handset repayments.) That one only comes with 4GB total monthly data though. The best value plan is probably the 24-month, $72 lease plan which comes with a generous 20GB total monthly data. If you’d prefer to own the iPhone XR, go for the $90 24-month plan which comes with 50GB monthly data.
