Happy weekend, everyone, and welcome back to 3-Ingredient Happy Hour, the weekly drink column featuring super simple yet delicious libations. This week we’re making the rum-heavy Dark ‘n’ Stormy, because this week has been, for lack of a better phrase, total garbage.

This week we’re mixing up a daiquiri of a slightly different flavour by utilising my bff, maraschino liqueur.”]
If the events of this past week haven’t worn you down a bit, we probably don’t have a lot in common, but the chances are you — especially if you’re a woman — probably need a drink. You, my friend, need something that is both strong an easy to assemble, and the Dark ‘n’ Stormy is both of those things. To make one, you will need:
- 60ml dark — not spiced — rum
- 20ml fresh lime juice
- About 90ml of really good ginger beer
Add the rum and lime to a highball glass and give it a little stir. Add ice to fill the glass, top with ginger beer, and gently stir once more. Drink your drink, get off the internet, and repeat as needed.
