How To Get Android Pie’s September Update On Your Pixel

Google has released their first update for Android 9.0 Pie. System image files as well as over the air (OTA) updates for Pixel smartphones are out there and fix a number of issues with the original software release.

Google has rectified a number of issues in these builds. These include:

  • A fix for issues with Bluetooth car audio fix
  • Improvement in battery charge for retail mode
  • Improved software version reporting
  • A stack of security and vulnerability updates

A big with quick charging hasn’t been addressed.

If you want to get your hands on the factory images for Pixel devices, you can head over to the Android download page. Installing a full image will wipe all your device’s data so make sure you have a backup unless you’re prepared to rebuild your device with a clean slate.
