Google Is Giving Away Free Home Minis (And Pies) At The MCG This Weekend

Seems Google is practically throwing it’s Home Minis at people, first via eBay and now to weekend footy fans. If you’d like a chance at owning one of the $79 gadgets and live in Victoria, get yourself down to the MCG.

Unfortunately, the only mention of the giveaway is on Google Australia’s Facebook page and it offers scant details.

From the looks of things, if you visit Google’s pop-up pie shop at the MCG, you’ll come out with either a pie or a Home Mini via some sort of game of chance.

Obviously, one of these is much better than the other.

There are two AFL games at the MCG this weekend — the Cats versus the Hawks starting at 1:45pm Saturday and Melbourne against Sydney from 3:20pm Sunday (both times AEST).

At the time of writing, it might be getting a bit late for the Saturday game, but Sunday’s still up for grabs.

It’s definitely mini, but it retains all of the features that make the Google Home so interesting. It also gets over the one major hurdle that the Google Home had — it’s price point.”]
