Fortnite Is Now On Android: First Look

The world’s most popular video game is now available on select Android devices. Here’s everything you need to know, including new footage of the new mobile version in action!

Epic Games has confirmed that the Fortnite Beta for Android will be launching this week with some users receiving access from today. If you’re a Fortnite virgin (an exceedingly rare breed these days) and own a compatible device, you’ll soon be able to discover what all the fuss is about. Here are the details.

What Is Fortnite Beta for Android?

Fortnite is an online player-versus-player battle royale game for up to 100 players developed by Epic Games. The emphasis is on fort building (using materials scavenged from the environment) and ranged combat (using the arsenal of firearms, bombs and other projectiles dotting the game area.)

All the while, the game map’s ‘safe area’ slowly shrinks down with those caught outside perishing in a storm. This forces the players to keep moving into a smaller play area with the final survivor declared the winner. It is currently the most popular video game on the market and now it’s available for Android.

When will Fortnite Beta launch?

Players with Samsung Galaxy devices are the first to be invited, starting today. Epic will start rolling out beta access to players on other Android devices over the next few days.
