If you already use Audible for audiobooks, you now have a new perk in your account: Access to three fitness programs from Aaptiv, with more in the works.
Each program has 20 tracks that guide you with music and a trainer’s recorded voice:
- Walk to Run One Mile starts with walking and gets you running by the end of the course. All the sessions are under 25 minutes, with some focused on strength or stretching instead of just running.
- 5K Training is just what it sounds like. Some of the sessions are focused on endurance (although with all sessions under 35 minutes, they aren’t very long) and others incorporate speedwork drills meant to keep things interesting and help you run faster.
- Everyday Meditation is a series of meditation tracks, starting with five-minute sessions and working up to 26 minutes.
The programs leave Audible on September 5 of next year (2019), even if you’re halfway through the course at that point, so plan accordingly. The plans start at $9.74 if you aren’t an Audible member, or they come free with your subscription if you are.
