Amazon Prime Day starts in just two and half hours. Running until midnight tomorrow, there will be lots of bargains available. But how do you ensure that you don’t miss out on special deals throughout the 36 hours? Love the Sales has pitched in with some great tips to make sure you don’t miss out on special offers that matter to you.
#1 Save Your Searches
If there are specific items you’re looking for, search from them now and save the searches. By doing that, you can jump straight to your Amazon Alexa search already sorted by lowest price first.
For example, I’m keen on the TP link Smart Plug so I can control a few things around the house using Alexa.
Here’s the search for that product
By saving that search, or links to specific products, to your browser bookmarks you can head back there later to check faster than reentering the search each time.
#2 Make A Shopping List
If you’ve gone down the bookmarking route we just suggested, you can create a Prime Day folder in your bookmarks that acts as a shopping list . It also makes life easy at the end of Prime Day so you can clean up all your saved searches once you’re bargain sleuthing is done.
Alternately, you can create a list of links using your favourite to-do lost software so you can check items off as your buy them. If you do that in a spreadsheet, you can also keep track of your spending.
#3 Set A Budget
It’s easy to get carried away on a sale day. If you’re planning to impulse buy depending on what you see come up on the day, set a budget to make sure you don’t max out your credit card or empty your bank account in the heat of the moment.

#4 Team Up With Friends
Set up a Whatsapp or Facebook group specifically for Prime Day to split responsibilities for deal hunting and to share great offers you find to each other. However you do it, it increases your chances of getting what you want – and it’s fun!
You could go a step further and set up a shared shopping kit using Google Docs, Office 365 or similar to keep tabs for each other.
