Discover What To Read Next With This ‘Instagram For Books’ App

I have a massive list of books on my “to read” list, but somehow whenever I head to the library or bookstore I manage to pick up something else instead.

I’m very easily swayed by an awesome cover.

I recently discovered that there’s an app dedicated to folks like me. Dubbed “Instagram for Books” the app Litsy combines Instagram with Goodreads to offer book suggestions on the fly.

Just like Instagram, with the service you “follow” different readers and publishers. People share photos of the books they’re reading or have read on the service. You can also share quotes from the book you enjoy or a full review if you’re feeling particularly adventurous.

Your followers on the service will see your posts and can comment and like them just like other social networks. And the best news: when you see the cover of something you want to read in your feed, you can add it to a “To Read” list so you can grab it later.

It’s still TBD on whether or not this is going to change how I buy books, but it’s definitely a fun way to create that ultimate winter’s reading list.
