OK, let’s talk about a very serious topic: bath mats. Is there a right and wrong way to use them?
There are three types of people in this world:
- Those who dry off a little in the shower or tub before stepping on the bath mat to finish drying off.
- Those who wait to dry off until they’re out of the shower or tub and standing on the bath mat.
- Those who don’t use a bath mat at all.
On one hand, drying off before you step on the bath mat kind of ruins the point of a bath mat. On the other hand, waiting to dry off until you step on the bath mat means you’ll have a soaking wet bath mat. And if you don’t use one, you’re a weirdo.
So, which type of person are you, and why? Let’s get to the bottom of this bath-mat issue once and for all.

…Well, no. Hence the correct method.
you wipe off the excess before stepping onto the mat. that’s common sense right? can also depend on the mat too?
Weird, we talked about bath mats with my wife last week and this topic comes up!
Our discussion was actually about how some people hang it on the shower door, and how I find that a disgusting practise. Some people hang their towel where the bath mat would go.
