Winter is a hard time to keep your regular health and exercise programs going. The cold weather makes going out for early morning or evening exercise sessions harder and I find warm winter meals to be heartier and I end up eating a little more than in the warmer months.
But winter is also a good time to stock up on some new sporting gear to help motivate you through the colder days. Here are six great exercise and fitness deals.
Rebel Sport has some nice deals on Under Armour shoes at the moment. They've got selected women's Under Armour shoes at half price. Most of those are running shoes but there are some cross-trainers in there as well.
Catch is also in on the discounted shoe action with a variety of Nike, ASICS and Skechers reduced by around a third of the full retail prices although some shoes are discounted a little more or less than that.
There are also plenty of discounts on the clothing front.
Catch is having an EOFY clear out but you'll need to pay attention as not all the items are reduced. But there's a good variety of tops, track pants, shorts and jumpers for men and women to look at.
While the Football World Cup is in progress, it's a good time to look at Rebel for fan gear for your favourite team in the A-League, European competitions or some national team gear if your preferred country has made it past the group elimination stage.
If you're planning a winter camping trip, you'll need a decent sleeping bag. Less than $45 will put you in a Caribee Snow Drift Sleeping Bag that can handle temperatures as low as -10C.
And, if you're planning to get away, a new bike can be lots of fun as well. Rebel has dropped bike prices by as much as 70%.
