What apps/software/tools can’t you live without?

For work, I find ‘Deputy’ to be a very helpful to manage hospitality staff, with rosters, & to monitor all staff over multiple stores. Personally, the apps would be Google maps, & Instagram. I do use facebook a lot, but could live without it..

What social network do you find the most useful?

For hospitality, I think Instagram is the best app & tool, as a lot of people love seeing food shots. Instagram has definitely helped our business 8bit gain a certain popularity through this medium based on our great graphic/branding & the fact our burgers & American diner food is so photogenic.

What were the most important lessons you learned while growing your business?

To make sure you are surrounded by like minded people that share the same vision & passion. Also to be able to work together to push the brand, & the business forward.

What has been the most surprising part of your business journey?

The most surprising part of the 8bit journey, is how far we have come & the hurdles we have overcome in the short time we have been around. We have just opened our fourth store & first interstate store in the fourth year since we started!

What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else?

It’s either drinking beer, stressing out, or making jokes about the two.

What’s your sleep routine like?

Much like my work it can be erratic, but I have a toddler in the house, so I am up much earlier than I would like!
