NBN Co’s ‘Check Your Address’ page used to be pretty useless. But the site was recently overhauled to provide more detailed information to users. You can now find out when your residential address will be connected – and what technology is being deployed – at the click of a button. Here are the details.

After criticism over a lack of transparency, the company behind the National Broadband Network has updated its searchable rollout map. In place of an ‘available’/’not available’ message, users now receive an estimated timeframe for completion in their suburb as well as what stage it’s currently at.

You can also register for email updates if your street isn’t ready. Remember: the NBN rollout is compulsory for anyone who wants to keep using landline phones and internet. You can find out everything you need to know here.
