Gaming notebooks that don't compromise on price, weight or performance are growing increasingly more common. Dell's managed to secure a place as one of the better options if you're considering such a laptop, with its Inspiron 15 7000 the best contender. Right now, you can grab the budget powerhouse for less than $1400, an amazing deal considering it packs an NVIDIA GTX 1060.

Dell's done a pretty good job with the latest refresh of the 7000, so much so there's a good argument to pick it up over the company's dedicated gaming notebooks in the Alienware line, especially if bang-for-your-buck is a priority.

Along with a quad-core Intel i5-7300HQ and 8GB RAM, the 7000 comes with a GTX 1060. The GPU provides the best balance between price and performance and is more than capable of running recent games at high resolutions without skipping a beat. The screen, a 1920 x 1080 IPS panel, is a good match for the hardware.

Also included is an install of Windows 10, a 256GB SSD and a one-year warranty.

Normally $1999, it's currently on sale for $1699, though you can shave another 20 per cent off with this code (valid until February 12):

This brings the cost down to $1359.20 delivered, which is really, really good.
