3-Ingredient Happy Hour: A Bourbon-y Eggnog ‘Latte’

Happy weekend, everyone, and welcome back to 3-Ingredient Happy Hour, the weekly drink column featuring super simple yet delicious libations. This week we’re making a faux eggnog latte with plenty of bourbon for sipping on Christmas morning.

Though I’m not usually a fan of hot alcohol, I’ll make an exception of Christmas morning. There’s something indulgent and comforting about sweet coffee infused with booze. Bourbon provides the ethanol here, and we get both richness and holiday flavour from the nog. To make this wintry warmer, you will need:

  • 55mL hot coffee or espresso
  • 55ml egg nog
  • 25mLg bourbon

Heat the eggnog for 30 seconds in the microwave (so it doesn’t cool the coffee), then combine everything in your favourite mug. Drink in your PJs while opening presents.
