If you own a pair of AirPods, you’ve been carrying around a smartphone stand without even realising it. It turns out that the wireless earbuds case is also the perfect shape for propping up your iPhone when you want to kick back and watch a video.
The unexpected feature was discovered by app developer Omar Elfanek, who shared the realisation on Twitter with a quick GIF as evidence:

According to The Verge, this works with most iPhones. It isn’t the most stable stand, but it should be fine as long as you don’t bump the table.
Of course, you can also buy a smartphone stand online for cheap or make one yourself for even cheaper, but do you really want to carry around a separate accessory just for propping up your iPhone? You probably don’t, and now you can get the same results using the case Apple designed to charge your AirPods.
