There’s no denying that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is successful. Bezos recently dethroned Bill Gates as the world’s richest man and has made countless decisions throughout his career that has forever impacted, amongst other things, how we all shop.

During an interview earlier this month at festival Summit LA17, Bezos said when it comes to making all those life-altering decisions, he made up his mind by projecting his like “forward to age 80”.
From there, he said that he would take the path that minimised his regrets, which would often make the correct choice obvious.
It’s advice that’s worked for him so far in his life, and isn’t the worst advice to implement personally. If you avoid regrets in your decisions, then you’re likely to be much happier with the choices you make.
Just ask yourself: What would old me think of this? And choose accordingly.
