Reminder: 2017’s Craziest Online Sales Have Now Started!

On Saturday, the biggest sales period of the year officially kicked off with the launch of Singles Day. But this is only the beginning. For the rest of the month, bargain hunters are going to be hit with one huge sale after another, including the massive international shopping event known as Black Friday.

And maybe… just maybe, we’ll also see the launch of Amazon Australia. My wallet is ready.

Singles Day is a Click Frenzy-style sales event that’s especially popular in Asian markets (it is held on the Chinese festival of the same name). You can score up to 70% off a range of product categories, including clothing, alcohol, gaming, toys and tech.

While not as large or well known as the other big sale events in Australua, there are still some pretty sweet deals to be had – including 20% off select eBay products when you use the discount code “PREZZY”. You can also get 60% off at upmarket fashion store Show Po and up to 50% off at Myer. Naturally, there will be a bunch of additional sales on the actual day so be sure to check out eBay and Google for Singles Day deals.

Next up is Click Frenzy which kicks off for the second time this year on November 14. To get an idea of what kind of deals will be offered, check out our Best Of list from May.

Then it’s the big one: Black Friday. On November 24, retailers in Australia and abroad will be slashing their prices to kickstart the Christmas shopping season. This usually results in hundreds of incredible deals.

Finally, there’s Cyber Monday, which is basically a last-gasp sale before Christmas. The emphasis here is on software and technology.

Here are those important dates again:

  • Singles Day: Tomorrow (November 11)
  • Click Frenzy: November 14
  • Black Friday: November 24
  • Cyber Monday: November 27

If that’s not enough deals for you, there’s also a very high chance that Amazon will be launching its Australian shopping portal at some point this month. Its Melbourne facility is already up and running. Amazon will want to make as big a splash as possible, so expect some big sales to coincide with the store’s official opening.

Rest assured, we will be providing links to all the best deals from Click Frenzy, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We’ll also be sharing our first impressions of Amazon Australia – if and when it launches.
