Keep Ants Out Of Your Pet’s Food By Putting It In A Second Bowl

A few weeks ago we had a few days of rain in San Francisco, which is actually a pretty rare occurrence. All that water resulted in a colony of ants deciding to relocate next to my dog’s food bowl.

Pet food is a notorious pest attractor. However, if you have a furry friend that doesn’t want to scarf down their entire meal in minutes, then you have no other choice but to leave it on the floor for them where ants or something more nefarious can make their way inside.

One enterprising Imgur user recently posted a unique tip to avoid the situation: Put your pet’s food bowl inside another larger bowl filled with water. The idea being that the water bowl will serve as a protective barrier between the pests and your pooch’s dinner.

If you have a temporary bug problem, then it can be a quick solution to make sure your furball’s meal stays bug-free.
