On your mark, get set, watch that iTunes movie rental! iTunes has better, or at least newer, options than streaming services, but the cost for a rental isn’t just monetary — it’s temporal, too. iTunes rentals last 30 days, but once you click “play”, a tighter countdown begins.

It used to be that if you fell asleep, got interrupted, or had any other reason to pause, you only had 24 hours — from when you started playing the movie — to finish watching before the rental ended. Or maybe you’re a parent and breathed a sigh of relief when 24 hours of Moana repetition came to an end.
Well, the good news (or the bad news — sorry, parents) is that now you have 48 hours to finish or re-watch the film.
