Google is launching a new zero-touch enrollment tool for Android rollouts so companies can configure the devices they purchase and ship them with management and settings pre-configured. This removes the need for users to configure devices manually and ensures that devices always have corporate policies in place.
Google says they are working with carrier partners and OEMs so devices can be purchased with zero-touch enrollment ready to go. They add that the solution will work with a number of popular MDM solutions.

With mobile devices now one of the primary tools used to carry enterprise data and for managing access to business applications, improved support for MDM tools is critical for ensuring devices are deployed in a hardened state.
