Giphy’s Mobile Web Tool Turns Your Phone’s Videos And Photos Into GIFs

Giphy, the popular GIF-making and sharing platform, launched a new web tool last month that allows you to make GIFs right from your phone’s camera — no app download required.

Giphy, the GIF search engine, can now embed GIFs on Facebook.”]

While on your iOS or Android device, head to their Mobile GIF Maker page in your mobile browser of choice, then upload videos or photos from your phone’s camera roll. Just like that, you’ve made a GIF! You can also snap pictures within the Mobile GIF Maker tool if you prefer to do it that way.

Once you’ve shot your GIF, you can then caption it with something witty or silly, add stickers from the Giphy sticker library, and draw on it with your finger (including glitter paint, oh my). When you’ve finished creating your masterpiece, you can then choose to upload it to Giphy’s massive GIF library. Otherwise, you can just download the GIF and message it to all your friends who are definitely not sick of receiving GIFs from you.
