Apple Builds Up Enterprise Cred With Accenture Partnership

Apple and Accenture have started a new partnership. Accenture will create a dedicated iOS practice within Accenture Digital Studios in select locations around the world with experts from Apple including visual and experience designers, programmers, data architects and scientists, and hardware and software designers.

The new iOS tools and services will take full advantage of the latest Apple technologies and tap into Accenture’s leading digital and analytics capabilities.

Services that will be part of the new offerings include iOS integration with key partners like SAP and Cisco. IoT integration with iOS is also one of the big promises as well as migration services to help clients transfer legacy applications and data to iOS.

This isn’t Apple’s first partnership of this type. They started building their enterprise presence a couple of years ago in a partnership with IBM and also boast partnerships with Deloitte, Cisco and SAP.

While Apple has built their business around consumer electronics, they have turned that into an enterprise opportunity. Where the Mac always struggled to gain a strong foothold in businesses, outside a couple of verticals such as creatives and education, the iPhone and iPad have made far more headway.

By partnering with Accenture, Apple is able to further embed themselves in the lucrative enterprise market.
