Convenience is king when it comes to travel plans. Being able to consolidate as much as possible into one place makes it quicker, easier and more enjoyable.

The updated Qantas App has more features than ever before to cater for all your journey needs, from booking flights up to reaping Qantas Points.

Deals

There’s an entire tab dedicated to flight deals in the Qantas App. Simply pick your departure city and browse the domestic and international deals that are available.

You can also check out some of the hottest deals that Qantas have to offer right from the home screen.

If you have a particular destination in mind, but want to wait for a sale or a great deal, simply set up a fare alert. You can review, update and turn it off at any time, as well as set the price range that suits your budget.

Whenever one of these fares goes on sale, or comes into the chosen price range, you will receive a notification.

Flight Updates

Once the flights are booked, you can view, update and change your booking anytime via the Qantas App. If you didn’t log in as a Frequent Flyer, your booking can be added manually from the home page or from the ‘Trips’ tab. You will then receive alerts about upcoming flights — including any changes to the itinerary, departure gates and boarding times.

The flight status will be displayed for each flight of your upcoming trip on the home page or your itinerary and you can also check any Qantas flight status manually by going into the ‘More’ tab. This is a great way to not only keep an eye on the status of your flights, but also those of your friends and family.

Points

It really couldn’t be easier to track your points and status credits in the Qantas App — they’re displayed right on your home screen. When clicking the ‘Points’ tab you can track exactly how many points you have earned and how — including flights or eligible transactions.

It’s important to note that Qantas Points can be put towards flights and accommodation, right from the app.

The ‘Status Credit’ tab details what membership tier you are at, and how many more Status Credits and flights are needed to reach the next level, and that all-important luxury lounge access. You can also check how long until the credits expire. This is far easier than logging into the website — all the info you need is just a tap away.
