Prepaid travel cards have set amounts on them so you or your kid only has so much to spend. Hand them the card at the start of the trip, tell them how much is on it and let them know that’s how much spending money they have for the holiday. It’s safer than handing over a wad of cash too, since you can quickly cancel the card if it is lost or stolen.
