This Terminal Dashboard Reminds You To Take A Break When You’re Deep Inside Your Code

If you use the terminal a lot to code, then you know it’s easy to get lost deep inside those blinking commands. Tiny-Care-Terminal is a small little dashboard that reminds you to stop and take care of yourself every once in a while.

Once it’s installed, you get a dashboard that displays your git commits for the last week, the weather, and you’ll see a non-intrusive little message from a wistful parrot nudging you to de-stress a little. This chill out advice is never complicated, it’s usually just a whimsical reminder to check your posture, rest your eyes, or stretch for a second.

The dashboard draws these reminders from tweets from tinycarebot, selfcare_bot, and magicalrealismbot, though you can change those to whatever accounts you want. If you spend a lot of your day in the terminal, this is a nice little display to see and might even help you take better care of yourself.
