Duolingo Introduces A Subscription Service To Kill Ads, Download Lessons Offline

Android: Duolingo is introducing Duolingo Plus, a $US10 ($13)/month subscription that will cut ads and let you download lessons for offline use on Android.

The new feature is rolling out as a bit of an experiment on Android and will only be seen by select users. The main reason, as you’d expect, is to create a more sustainable business model. The free ad-supported version will continue to exist, but those who want the extra download feature and lack of ads can pay for that luxury.
