Sydney’s Microsoft Store Is Holding Free Game Development Workshops

Launching in partnership with Sydney’s flagship Microsoft Store and the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE), the newly formed “Xbox Academy” is offering a three hour hands-on gaming workshop where you can learn coding, art, marketing and other aspects of development – for free.

You’ll learn Unity and C# programming while building an adventure game, game design and also how to develop games specifically on the Xbox One S. You’ll even get a shiny certificate of competition for doing the course, along with some Xbox Academy swag.

Sessions will run from 10 to 22 April, and is open to all students aged 14 and over (anyone under 18 will need parental consent), and you’ll need to register before you rock up.
