Stan has officially launched the ability to download and then view programs offline, free for subscribers. If you already have the app installed, you’ll just need to update it to get this new feature. Here are some of the shows you can start downloading right away.
Back in Feburary, we revealed that Stan was adding an offline mode to compliment its streaming service.
As with the similar offline feature on Netflix, not everything is available for download – you’ll see a symbol on the listing to let you know it’s possible. The first two seasons of Twin Peaks The Return (which begins on May 22), every season of Sherlock, Billions, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad and Transparent are all available.
There is also be a whole bunch of kids shows from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, ABC for Kids and Roadshow available from today. This is great news for parents, as it means your kids can continue to enjoy shows on their tablets when there’s no Wi-Fi – without eating up your mobile data.
