Village Roadshow and Foxtel have already managed to get a total of 61 domains across five torrent websites blocked in Australia. Now Village Roadshow wants to add a further 74 domains on the list and has applied to do so in the Federal Court.
We have consolidated the full list of ISP-blocked torrent sites along with the domains that Village Roadshow is seeking to block right here.
In December last year, Village Roadshow and Foxtel won a court case that would compel Australian ISPs to block a number of popular torrent sites in a bid to curb piracy.
Here’s the full list of blocked domain names from the original judgement:

What’s the definition of insanity now? Is it doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? These guys are by definition then..
According to ammended legislation in Australia [2016] blocking a torrent site is a direct contavention of the fair use act which effectivly states that any entertainment video/movie can be in possession of anyone provided it is for one or more of the following – evaluation, criticism, education. This blocking has breached their own legislation but then again – this government is a rogue police state
Dear Burke,
It would be easier if you just release movies on time and not delay them.
Especially when said film was actually animated in Australia.
Signed,
An Informed Australian.
Someone should put in a block request for villageroadshow.com.au
If there is a cost to request site blocking I’ll happily contribute to a gofundme for this
Wasn’t it something like $50 per domain name per ISP?
Hey Village Roadshow thanks for all the new torrent sites I didn’t know existed.
I already have been blocking village roadshows site – they suck….
Lol thanks for providing a nice list of new sites to check out via VPN
The only problems doing this are :
1. Telling visitors to the site that it distributes child porn, when it does not.
2. Forcing people sign up for a VPN, pushing the VPN market sales up.
3. Telling lies that Australia is the worst for piracy, maybe if cost of living was lowered to only 10% instead of 90%, we wouldn’t need to pirate.
What next, any Australian using a VPN is going to be investigated/arrested/jailed for piracy (sorry, distributing child porn as they state), freaking great country we live in.
The users don’t even need a VPN to get around this – they just need to use “DNS over HTTPS”.
Cloudflare / Firefox are implementing a new feature that instead of using the standard DNS it does this over HTTPS (Hence encrypted from your device all the way to the Cloudflare servers). This bypasses the telco filtering and what is better it is inbuilt to the browser as a FREE service and by the looks of it will be on by default.
Sorry ISPs but if all browsers do this, then the money you spent on the DNS filtering will be officially a waste.
