Planet Earth II is a wildlife documentary series that follows on from the award-winning original. Filmed entirely in 4K with narration by Sir David Attenborough, it is a landmark achievement in documentary filmmaking. (It could also be one of the tipping points for 4K TV adoption.)

There don’t seem to be any special features on these discs which is a crying shame – we would have loved to see how some of the astonishing footage and pioneering 4K drone photography was pulled off. Oh well – we guess we’ll have to wait for the inevitable ulta-deluxe version.
