Buying a home is often a long process that starts with looking at your options and deciding which ones are worth visiting, and eventually which one is worth making an offer on. What questions did you ask during your house hunt?

  • What are the neighbourhoods or cities nearby like?
  • How accessible and shopping-friendly is the area around the home?
  • Is the city investing in infrastructure?
  • What are people in the neighbourhood like?

Beyond the standard questions around things like price and number of bedrooms, what questions did you find helpful during your home search and why were they helpful?

  • I go with:
    Why are you moving?
    What internet type and speed do you get?
    How much are your last utility bills?

  • I ask how much is the body corporate fees.
    One place had rolling lawns and a small lake but had an annual fee of $4000 to upkeep it.
