Getting your backpack just right is key for having an awesome camping trip. Once you've selected the right bag, use this graphic to load it up so you're comfortable on the trail.
Even if you have tons of equipment, you want to distribute the overall weight correctly. The lighter, less used things (like your sleeping bag) should go towards the bottom. Keep heavier equipment in the part of your pack that will be closest to the centre of your back so you'll be able to better support the weight.
