Big, briny olives bring punchy flavour to dishes and snack plates alike, but biting into a pit is frankly no fun. Yes, they can be gnawed around, but why do that when you can easily pop ’em out with a little help from your kitchen funnel?
As the above video demonstrates, the funnel is a pretty perfect tool for this particular job. Just invert it over a cutting board or plate, place your brined beauty of choice on the tip, and press down to push the pit out. The pits will collect in the dome of the funnel, keeping them from rolling or bouncing off the counter.
